Appointment Scheduling
This frontend integrates via a workflow engine the EMR module and streamlines front office operations based on a rules based methodology. The application prompts users to complete required information and prevents departures from practice defined scheduling guidelines.

The scheduling function can be designed to reflect the work style of any practice and the preferences of individual physicians. Blocks of time can be reserved for certain types of appointments or procedures on specific days of the week, and length of appointment parameters can be adjusted to accommodate the time each physician typically devotes to encounters. 

Chart Publishing
Providers using PlatinumEMR can securely send health records to a patient or other providers with a few clicks. Health records can include any data, such as patient images, demographics, histories, lab results, allergies, diagnoses, patient education documents, and more.

Clinical Content
Offering pre built clinical templates and workflow developed specifically for care management, PlatinumEMR automates the practice no matter what size or specialty. Developed in collaboration with practicing physicians, specialty templates come pre loaded with very detailed options for documenting specialty specific HPIs, procedures, histories, assessments, and more.

The workflow matches a typical general encounter process, with the option to easily modify templates to complement practice specific workflow or content settings if needed. Tree menus and point and click options make documenting a detailed encounter fast and efficient.

Electronic Chart
The heart of the patient record is the electronic chart, which maintains a complete patient record based on input templates completed during patient encounters. All data captured through these templates, along with images such as photographs, scanned documents, lab results, drawings, and/or typed text or signatures, are stored in the patient record and are easily accessible.

The electronic chart was designed to be highly intuitive and user friendly. Providers can customize the chart in various categories, enabling them to conduct visits and practice medicine in ways that coincide with their specialty and personal preferences.

Prescribing
PlatinumEMR provides an Prescribing module that allows physicians to order, record, and optionally transmit a prescription directly to the pharmacist, ensuring that no information about dosage, frequency, etc., becomes lost in translation or transport.

Partnering with SureScripts, providers, through PlatinumEMR, Providers can search medication lists, automatically check for drug to drug interactions and drug allergies, and perform a real time formulary confirmation. 

Follow up / Recall Tracking
Very few episodes of care end when the patient leaves the exam room. Many times, patients are given instructions for ongoing treatment of a disease or condition or receive orders for further diagnostic tests. Even when an appointment is a discrete event, health maintenance and preventive care protocols eventually require a return visit.

PlatinumEMR records follow up recommendations with just a few keystrokes and the information is readily available to support staff, who can generate follow up appointments and additional testing.

Health Maintenance
PlatinumEMR offers a wide range of opportunities to enhance patient's health maintenance efforts. PlatinumEMR offers comprehensive methods of monitoring compliance with immunization recommendations or screening adherence.

The flexible EMR application captures important data about each patient and can be customized to trigger alerts when preventive or maintenance visits are due. These get assigned to the staff to call patients for scheduling.

Schematics
The schematics option in PlatinumEMR allows the Physician to mark points on a patients body and attach notes for reference for future visits.

Third Party Interoperability
PlatinumEMR can receive reports in HL7 fromat from 3rd party applications and are electronically added to patients records. This avoid unnecessary data entry and human error.

This creates immediate and easy access to lab reports, reports from specialists and diagnostic results that were generated outside PlatinumEMR. The system ensures that all imported data isautomatically catalogued by patient, data, and image type. The result is a complete, accurate, and up to date medical record that provides physicians with a comprehensive look at the patient's condition.

Medical History
PlatinumEMR offers the task of this capture be accomplished by support staff using the workflow engine. The staff capture the data based on patient responses. In the background, the software translates the interview summary into clinical terminology thats passed to the EMR.

Physicians can quickly review the information and then conduct a more efficient office visit. This allows both the patient and the doctor to immediately focus on the health concerns presented.

Medications Interactions
Available with PlatinumEMR is a complete medication database, designed specifically to enhance Physician access. The interaction feature minimizes risk by automatically checking new prescriptions against a patients medication list and recorded drug allergies to help prevent interactions and/or medication errors.

Provider Task List
The Provider Task List within PlatinumEMR helps organize your physician's day and streamlines the administrative and clinical tasks that confront him or her on a daily basis.

Through the workflow management and messaging tools within the EMR, the task list compiles in one place all the items that require the physician's attention.

The physician simply pulls up the task list and sees a comprehensive list of lab orders, referral requests, test results, etc., that may need review or sign off. The physician works through the list quickly, and resulting actions are automatically updated in each patient's respective medical record. This fully integrated process saves time that the physician can then devote to patient care, and it virtually guarantees that no important tasks are left undone.

Reporting
During an encounter, patient data collected through PlatinumEMR is stored in a relational database as discrete data elements. This model enables the use of data mining tools such as Business Intelligence or Business Objects. PlatinumEMR offers an ad hoc report writer for tailoring information to specifically address business needs. Reports can even be exported to other systems.

Template Editor
Templates are formulated using a Tree concept which utilizes drop down lists, check boxes to speed the data entry process during patient encounters. Each template features standard problems, diagnoses, conditions, allergies, medications, and symptom lists for your specialty to help standardize care across the practice and increase physician efficiency.
